Motorcycles have been in my blood since birth. I cut my teeth on trailbikes as a youngster and this has followed through to my passion for Adventure Riding. My friends and I were doing this in the 1980’s before it was invented.

Since then I have completed many overseas Adventure rides, the longest from Cairns, Australia to London. 37,000 km, 30 different countries over 5 months.

These trips have proven to me how good New Zealand is as a motorcycling country, definitely one of the best places in the world to ride and very suited to the BMW GS range of motorcycles.

I want to share this country with others and pay back some of the incredible assistance others have given me on my trips.

And also my wife. Sonia started riding as a teenager and has joined me on many of our trips at home and overseas.
