We are based in Pukekohe, a convenient 30 minute (subject to peak hour) drive from Auckland airport. Pukekohe is a quaint little farming town in the Auckland City. We have the advantage of having quiet country roads on our doorstep to ease you into driving in New Zealand. We are 5 minutes from the Southern Motorway, have plenty of good quality shops and accommodation of many types on our doorstep and are linked by frequent buses and trains.

For a nominal fee (or on our longer hires, no fee) we can uplift you from the airport and deliver you back, arrange accommodation and store any surplus gear while you are away.

Our hours of business are not strict, we live and breathe Adventure riding, so within reason, any time is possible. We are happy to pick up or drop you off at the airport and deliver motorcycles to hotels if that is your preference for a minimal fee.

All our motorcycles are low mileage and generally less than 5 years old. They are serviced regularly and in top condition.

Hirers must be a minimum of 25 years old and hold a licence of the correct class for the motorcycle hired. Hirers are expected to comply with New Zealand traffic laws.

It is recommended that hirers familiarise themselves with New Zealand traffic law. A copy of the traffic laws are located at http://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode

Yes, specific luggage set up is detailed under the individual motorcycles on the “Our Bikes” tab.

When we receive your booking and deposit of 20%, we will confirm your booking in writing. If for some unforeseen reason the motorcycle you have booked is not available (due to major breakdown or an accident) we will do all in our power to replace the motorcycle with another motorcycle that is acceptable to you or find you an acceptable motorcycle with another rental provider.  Full payment of the hire is required to be completed 30 days prior to the start of your hire period. This includes the security deposit which will be refunded once the motorcycle is returned to our base.

New Zealand has a Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 15% which is included in all quoted prices.

We are finding many people are using smart phones as opposed to GPS. We can provide a phone RAM mount fitted to the motorcycle. Most of our bikes have an auxiliary charging facility.

We have Garmin GPS units available for hire.

Yes, we are happy for you to use our motorcycles on gravel roads. Our insurances void cover on 90 mile Beach Road, any beach and Skippers Canyon Road, so we cannot cover use of our motorcycles on those roads. Generally the motorcycles are fitted with 80/20 road biased tyres, however, we are open to fitting tyres that are more off-road biased. This generally means the tyres will not last as long, so this may require some additional planning and costs depending on your intended plans.

Our maintenance programme and attention to detail on the motorcycle set up should avoid most issues. We expect you to look after minor issues such as topping up the oil, oiling the chain (on all hires 3 days and over, we will supply a can of chain wax) adjusting the chain and puncture repairs.

If the breakdown is more serious, we have contracted a nationwide breakdown service to assist or will direct you to the closest motorcycle repair shop. If the motorcycle is not able to repaired in a reasonable timeframe, and has not been caused by the rider, our policy is to provide you with a replacement motorcycle within 48 hours. If the breakdown is caused by neglect or otherwise by the hirer, our mechanical provider will sometimes charge a fee-(i.e. run out of fuel, loss of keys etc.)

Our nationwide provider allows up to $200 for recovery, if you are way off the beaten track, there may be an additional cost for motorcycle recovery.

The rental rate includes comprehensive insurance. This covers damage to the motorcycle and any third party involved in the accident.

We recommend you take out your own comprehensive travel insurance that covers injury or sickness to yourself, loss or damage of your property, loss of deposits etc.

If an accident occurs, you are liable for the amount of the security bond ($2,000- $2,750 depending on the bike you have on hire) which represents the excess we have with the insurance company.

If you are involved in an accident and the motorcycle is no longer rideable, your rental agreement is terminated and your security deposit is forfeited. We may offer you another motorcycle at our discretion and this will be a new rental policy and require another security deposit.
